Terms of service

Welcome to GiftLayer. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of giftlayer.in (the "Site") and any purchase you make from us. By browsing the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Please read them before you buy.

This Site is operated by Shiva Ajay Veeragani, a sole proprietorship trading as GiftLayer ("GiftLayer", "we", "us", "our"), with its principal place of business at House no 48-232/1, Plot no 96, Surya Nagar, Chintal, Hyderabad, Telangana 500055, India.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or be using the Site under the supervision of a parent or guardian, to place an order. By ordering, you confirm that the information you give us is accurate and complete.

2. Products and personalisation

Every item we sell is made to order and personalised with details you supply — typically a name, a style and a colour. Because of this:

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the personalisation you enter. Please check spelling, spacing and capitalisation carefully before paying. We produce exactly the text you submit.
  • The live preview on the product page is a representation, not a photograph of the finished item. Small variations in colour, finish, texture and dimensions are a normal part of a made-to-order process.
  • Colours may appear different across screens. We cannot guarantee that the shade you see on your device will match the finished item exactly.
  • We may decline or cancel any order for personalisation that is unlawful, obscene, hateful, harassing, infringes someone else's trademark or copyright, or that we otherwise consider inappropriate. If we cancel on these grounds, we refund you in full.

3. Prices and payment

  • All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise on the product page.
  • Shipping charges, where applicable, are shown at checkout before you pay.
  • We may change prices at any time, but changes do not affect orders already placed and paid for.
  • Payments are processed by our payment gateway partner. We do not store or have access to your full card details at any time.
  • If a payment fails, is reversed, or is flagged as fraudulent, we may cancel or hold the order.

4. Order acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy. A confirmation email acknowledges we received it; it does not by itself mean we have accepted it. We may refuse or cancel an order if the item is unavailable, if there is an error in the price or description, if we cannot verify your details, or if we suspect fraud. Where we cancel an order you have paid for, we refund you in full.

5. Photo and content uploads

Some products hold a photograph you send us after checkout. By uploading any image or content, you confirm that:

  • You own it, or you have permission from the owner to use it; and
  • You grant us permission to use it solely to produce and deliver your order.

We do not use your uploaded photographs for marketing without asking you first. We delete production files within a reasonable period after your order is delivered.

6. Delivery

Delivery timelines are described in our Shipping and Delivery Policy. We are not liable for delays caused by couriers, weather, strikes, public holidays, or incorrect or incomplete addresses supplied by you.

7. Returns and refunds

Because every item is personalised and made to order, returns are limited. Please see our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this Site — including designs, product images, text, logos and the GiftLayer name — belongs to us or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce or use it commercially without our written permission.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Site to break any law, to interfere with its operation or security, to scrape or harvest data, or to submit false or misleading information.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Third-party services

The Site runs on Shopify and uses third-party services for payments, shipping and analytics. Their handling of your data is governed by their own policies.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Hyderabad, India.
